Who We Are
Who We Are
COPE Galway is a local Galway charity that has been providing social services in Galway since the 1970s.
We offer support services for individuals and families who are affected homelessness, women and children experiencing domestic abuse and older people in the community.
Our services are delivered by a dedicated team of over 180 staff including social care professionals, childcare workers, community support workers, chefs and administrative support staff. Our employees are supported in their work by a committed team of over 250 volunteers.
We could not continue to provide vital services without the on-going and generous support of our volunteers, individuals and groups in the local Galway community, and our funders.

Our Vision
A community where every person is valued, cared for and supported at every stage of life.
We work to achieve this vision by providing essential supports for people at challenging times in their lives and by advocating for systemic change to remove the root causes of inequality and disadvantage that constrain the well-being and development of individuals, families and communities.
Our Mission
Making a difference by empowering people, creating change and strengthening communities.
We understand, respect and respond to the needs of those who struggle with the challenges of homelessness and domestic abuse and we support older people towards healthy and active ageing.
Our Logo
Representing the people at the heart of our work
The human figure at the centre of the hearts in our logo represents the individual, or individuals who are at risk. A human figure at the centre of love, life and vitality. The hearts represent the wider Galway community; informed, caring and active. The arc symbolises protection, shelter and services, to combine COPE Galway with the community and the individuals at risk.
