Support and services for families
If your family is homeless, or at risk of homelessness, we offer support and services to help you.
We understand that every family’s situation is complex and unique to them. When you contact COPE Galway for support, our key workers will work with you to assess your particular situation and support you in mapping your pathway out of homelessness.

Steps to take if your family is homeless
Present to the Housing Department of your local authority
If you and your family are homeless in Galway, the first think you must do is to present to the relevant Galway City or County housing department and advise them that you are homeless.
Your family needs to be assessed at homeless with your local council to be eligible for available homeless services and support.
If you are assessed as homeless and referred to our Family Support Service for emergency accommodation we can;
