Steps to take if you are homeless
Present to the Housing Department of your local authority
If you are homeless in Galway, the first thing you must do is to present to the relevant Galway City or County housing department and advise them that you are homeless. You need to be assessed at homeless with your local council to be eligible for available homeless services and support.
If you need urgent accommodation outside their operating hours, contact one of our Emergency Accommodation Services.
Access to emergency accommodation
We operate 24-hour emergency accommodation services
- Fairgreen Hostel for men
- Osterley Lodge homeless women
- Cold Weather Response (November to April only)
Contact the COPE Galway Day Centre
