Waterside House Domestic Abuse, Refuge & Outreach Services

COPE Galway Domestic Abuse Service at Waterside House provides information, support and refuge to women and their children who are experiencing, or who have experienced domestic abuse.
Our mission is to support and empower women, and their children, who are experiencing domestic abuse, and to work towards eliminating the structures in society which give rise to and tolerate domestic violence and abuse.

Providing a range of client-led, confidential support services that are informed and led by the experiences and needs of the women and children who use the service.

Training and awareness

Our Outreach team develop and deliver training and public awareness workshops in domestic violence and abuse to voluntary and statutory agencies, community groups, schools and colleges.

Domestic Abuse Refuge

Waterside House Refuge offers 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation for women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and need a safe place to stay.

Community Partnerships

We work with other local and national agencies to prevent and raise awareness about domestic abuse and challenge the structures which drive and tolerate abuse.
