Would you like to be a central part in building the team for Modh Eile House, the new home of COPE Galway’s Domestic Abuse Service?

We are looking for a Client Services Co-Ordinator – someone who shares our commitment to working with women and children who have survived abusive relationships and who wants to work with us to shape this new service.

At this exciting time in the journey of our service, this key role is one that will be pivotal in shaping the experience that every woman who comes to us has.

COPE Galway Domestic Abuse Service, provides support to around 500 women and their children each year.  Those who use our service are women either at risk from an abusive partner or who have suffered abuse at the hands of a partner in the past.

Our role is to provide a safe space for each woman and her children and then to assist her in exploring options and making decisions which will lead to a better life.

This role would suit someone who has:

  • A minimum of five years direct casework / key work experience with victims of domestic abuse
  • Management experience, including the supervision of staff
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current domestic abuse legislation and issues
  • Fully flexible and willing to meet the demands of the role

Hours of Work:  39 hours per week

Contract:  2 years fixed term
